About the Heating & Plumbing Engineer position

Join Northampton H2O Ltd, a vibrant, growing local business! Northampton H20 seeks energetic, skilled, dedicated engineers to provide installation, repair and maintenance services for residential buildings. This includes a wide range of plumbing tasks such as boiler serving, boiler repair, boiler install, some plumbing tasks and working as part of our teams on the larger sites. You should have a thorough knowledge of plumbing and heating systems and be able to work on your own and part of a team and efficiently with great attention to detail. We also expect you to be patient, customer service savvy, look for solutions and possess a practical mind.

Engineer responsibilities are:

  • Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks
  • Boiler breakdown servicing and repairs
  • Boiler installations
  • Hot and cold water systems
  • Unvented systems
  • General plumbing

Engineer requirements are:

Experience and skills

  • Gas safe qualified
  • Previous experience with gas systems and/or multi-discipline maintenance
  • Plumbing and heating certifications
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience as an engineer, with four (4+) or more years preferred. specifically:
    • Be able to read plans and drawings
    • A good understanding of power and hand tools
  • Due to a requirement to local travel within this role, candidates must hold a full and current driving licence and have the ability to drive a company van.
